Somoskabin is the result of a collaborative vision between four friends united by their passion for nature and design. The project required a visual identity that would seamlessly integrate the cabin’s modern architectural aesthetic with the serene natural surroundings of Somoskő, Hungary. My role was to establish a cohesive and adaptable brand language that could evolve with each year’s theme while maintaining a strong, recognizable presence across print and digital platforms.

The centerpiece of the visual identity is the logo, where the elevated “i” was designed to reflect the cabin’s precise position on Somoskő’s contour map. This intentional design element creates a direct connection between the branding and the geography of the site, grounding the identity in its natural and physical context. The typography, with Freight Display Pro used for impactful headings and Freight Sans Pro for readability, conveys a sense of understated elegance that aligns with the minimalist ethos of the cabin’s design.
The branding strategy extended to all guest interactions, from the thoughtfully designed welcome cards and gift vouchers provided onsite to digital assets such as Instagram stories, advertisements, and user manuals. Each element was crafted to evoke the cabin’s tranquil atmosphere and precision in design, ensuring consistency and a seamless narrative across all mediums. Somoskabin’s identity system harmonizes modernity with nature, creating a visual language that is both deeply rooted in its environment and universally inviting. The result is a brand that captures the essence of a serene escape, offering guests a moment of connection and peace within a thoughtfully designed space.
